I noticed the toms sound pretty unrealistic no matter which preset you use, is it because of the Midi track you used?

What are you sending to the rear bus individual tracks or buses? And where did you send the rear bus? To master or to a mix bus?

I don't know what Kiive do in their algorithms but as always they win the game by far.

The only one I have is the slate version, but I like the UAD better.

Perhaps I missed it. But are you doing this on a separate bus and sending the Vocal there? Similar to a drum bus?

That's why I prefer the 9000 J. I feel like the 4K is a little too gritty and 9K is a bit smoother. I also have the Focusrite and I haven't quite found the right song for it. Too many options!

The off center is balanced with the delay beeing just a bit louder than reverb isnt?

Hey I was wondering if you have tried this in combination with doubling guitars, I know it is basically the same thing seeing as the whole point of doubling is to thicken up the sound through slight differences, but I’m wondering if this delay trick can be used with doubling to create an extra thicckkk sound if you know what I’m saying. I just don’t know how the panning would work out if I were to hav both a double and a delay working at the same time

Lovely concise test (but wish you'd tried it on some troublesome acoustic drum or whistly/room boomy vocal or badly dissonant virtual synth patch... perhaps in a follow up video?) of this seriously good plugin. 👍🏻👌🏼 Hornet make some EXCELLENT plugins, their ultra low prices and ultra simple GUI shouldn't deter or fool customers.

Why does every sound channel have terribly recorded vocals?

Remember how good a tape from a boombox sitting in the basement during a jam sounded. Everyone, (including me) is trying to get a Black Sabbath Album to sound like Dark Side of the Moon. We are definitely over producing and overthinking things. It's better to have and not need than to need and not have, but we have way too many options now. It is actually like Quick sand, the unlimited possibilities is slowing us down. And the Advances in tech gives us expectations that are too high. I don't think The Beatles could have done Sgt Peppers with today's tech.

As someone who is just tumbling head first into Brauerizing my mix template, this channel is a god send. I am currently following along on his Puremix video's while using your explanations as reference. Heads up, in Delay 3 there is a discrepancy between your Motion "Slap Delay Mover" preset and his. Brauer engages Panner 2 and from what I can hear, these are the additional parameters: Sync Path Type: Classic Modulator: Saw Tooth Trigger: Off

Funny, every video I watch that reviews the VSX system has comments where the person doesn’t seem to understand what this system is for. They think that it’s about mixing in headphones, not understanding that the headphones are just the vehicle that puts you in different mixing spaces.

Great video. Just to clarify, the updated UAD Helios does feature the resonance of the low band; the only thing is that the default setting of the LF gain keeps that part of the circuit out. If you turn it ever so slightly it will “click” into it’s 0 gain position and will exhibit the noted low frequency resonance. Hope that helps!

What if the 35 hz isnt in the key of the song? Should i change the super low 35hz to match the key the song is in?
